Field Report from the Gustavus Dock Beach December 10, 2010

Hello from the 3rd – 5th class. We went to the Gustavus beach on December 10th, 2010. We found a lot of interesting things such as worms, little sea stars and a giant barnacle. It was very windy. This was our second trip collecting shells for a shell collection that we are keeping in our class. Our class found 13 pieces of plastic. Thank you Tanya and Lori for coming with us.

Field Report from the Gustavus Dock Beach, 12-10-10

On December 10, 2010, we went to the Gustavus Dock beach. It was windy and we saw a sea urchin and a sea star eating a mussel. We found 13 pieces of plastic. We had big plastic and some little plastic. We found two bottle caps, one plastic bag, two big pieces of plastic, one cigarette butt, three pieces of Styrofoam, one wrapper, an orange piece of plastic from a crate, one firework thing, and one piece of rubber. I wonder what we’ll find next.
