Hello, from the 3rd-5th grade class! We went to the Gustavus Beach on 10-13-10 to collect data for our year-long scientific study. This was our second data collection trip. We were looking for plastic and living things on the beach and the intertidal zone. We found a lot of sea stars, jellyfish, amphipods (sand hoppers), and barnacles. We found 27 pieces of plastic. The most common things we found were earplugs and pieces of rope.

Do you think the Gustavus Beach will have more plastic than the Bartlett Cove Beach?
