Hello, from the 3rd-5th grade class. We went to Bartlett Cove on November 30, 2010. It was the first trip with snow on the ground. We found mystery eggs! We only found one piece of plastic; the piece was a garbage bag. Ranger Marieke was with us. Our Principal Mrs. Cervin and her husband Don came with us also. We found a lot of sea cucumbers.
At Bartlett Cove the weather was terrible, the wind was howling and there was icy rain. We found a big fat sea star and some baby sea star. We started a shell collection, trying to see how many varieties there are. Among our findings were a snail in a shell and a blenny.
The most exciting thing to occur was our school van getting stuck on the hill!!! The road was icy and the van tires couldn’t get any traction. Our other mystery was that the school camera was lost while we were playing in the snow. We made it back so we can tell you our tales next time.
Until next time…
